Christina grew up in Massachusetts, but started her career as an optician in Virginia before moving back to the Northeast 18 years ago. After apprenticing with one of the larger optical chains, and earning her certification and license, Christina realized that boutique optical shops, with their emphasis on quality products and the latest technologies, offered her a better chance to grow as an optician. Christina found the perfect pairing with Envision. She loves the combination of building relationships through great service, performing the highly technical custom work she excels at, and fusing it all together with the fashion side of eyewear.
Christina and her daughter now call Haverhill home, but they love Boston for the Commons and Public Garden, the MFA and MOS. Sully’s and Castle Island in Southie will always hold a special place in their hearts.
Emily fell in the love with the serenity of Western Mass while studying biology at UMass Amherst. But she’s a city girl at heart and recently moved back to Dorchester where she spent most of her childhood. She loves the cultural diversity engrained in the historic neighborhood and the proximity to Boston’s endless list of attractions. The exhibits at the Museum of Science and New England Aquarium are her favorite places to indulge in natural history and the latest innovations; the penguins are an added bonus.
For fun, Emily enjoys getting together with friends for a night out in the town or even just a bite to eat. She loves trying new cuisines or grabbing her favorite spicy tuna roll. When the weather gets warmer she’ll be heading for Maine to do some sky-diving. “Nothing beats the rush of adrenaline as you jump out of a plane 4,000 feet in the sky,” She says. And we’ll take her word for it.
