Warm compresses help relieve dry eye by gently heating the eyelids, melting clogged oils, and improving the quality of your tears. Two great options are the Bruder microwavable mask, which is easy to heat and use at home, and the Blink Joy USB rechargeable mask, which provides consistent, adjustable heat and is great for daily use or travel. Both help soothe irritation, reduce inflammation, and support long-term comfort.

We have both options for purchase in our office.

It has been well established that nutrition plays a key role in our health and this is no different for ocular health as well. There are many studies showing the positive effects of Omega 3 supplementation for dry eye patients.

HydroEye is a nutritional supplement that helps support and soothe dry, irritated eyes from the inside out. It contains a unique blend of omega fatty acids—including GLA, an anti-inflammatory omega found in black currant seed oil—that work to improve tear production and reduce inflammation on the eye’s surface. Many patients notice less burning, redness, and dryness with consistent use over time. It’s a gentle, natural way to help your eyes feel more comfortable every day.

Keeping your eyelids clean is an important part of managing dry eye—especially if you have inflammation or buildup along the lash line.

Daily use of lid hygiene products can reduce bacteria, debris, and oil blockages. We recommend options like Avenova, a gentle lid spray containing pure hypochlorous acid—a natural, anti-microbial ingredient safe for daily use. Optase Tea Tree Oil wipes are another great choice, combining soothing ingredients with tea tree oil to help reduce eyelid inflammation and irritation. Regular lid hygiene can make your eyes feel clearer, more comfortable, and less inflamed.
